Specs Library Distributors is a family-run business with a passion for helping books find their perfect home. Since 1999, we've been dedicated to connecting used and rare books with the people and places that need them most—whether that's a museum, a research library, or simply a lover of good books.
We work with a wide range of clients, including private collectors, scholars, academic institutions, museums, and everyday readers. No matter if it's a collection of 80,000 books or a single 16th-century manuscript, we treat every book with care and purpose.
Why We Do What We Do
Over the years, we've seen too many great collections sold short—literally. Often, by the time people call us, they've already tried to sell the books themselves, only to realize they missed out on significant value. The reason? They didn't have access to the industry knowledge, tools, or trusted relationships needed to sell effectively.
One project in particular showed us just how much of a difference the right help can make. A local donation center asked us to help them create a system to sell books that didn't align with their mission. The result? They earned over $100,000 in new annual revenue—money that now supports their vital programs and outreach efforts.
That experience inspired us to do more.
